You know the challenges that we face in the Kanawha Valley. People of all ages and backgrounds are struggling to reach their full potential in the pandemic. More and more children face seemingly insurmountable learning gaps. Face time happens through a phone.
Working with generous members like you, the Y provides everyone the opportunity to be healthy and thrive, to connect with others, and contribute to a better community. Everything the Y does is in service of making us – as individuals and a community – better.
The YMCA of Kanawha Valley has begun our annual Spirit of the Valley campaign to raise charitable funds needed to address the issues that concern you. This year’s award honors our front-line doctors and nurses who have cared for the sick during the COVID-19 crisis. The folks who’ve made deliveries every single day. The employees who have kept store shelves stocked. The leaders who have updated us with guidelines and plans. The business owners who have sacrificed. The teachers who have taught from a computer screen. More importantly, this year’s honorees are members of the YMCA of Kanawha Valley just like you!
Every dollar donated to the YMCA of Kanawha Valley stays local and has a lasting impact on the people of our community. Your gift will build a better us by ensuring that the Y’s doors are open to all regardless of income. Your support helps thousands of youth and families live healthier and happier lives by providing programming vital to personal growth. It enables critical childcare needs in the time of COVID-19 giving our frontline workers piece of mind for their children. It provides seniors with opportunities to connect with others through our SilverSneakers programs.
Yes, you know the challenges we face in the Kanawha Valley, but just like the Y, you see the opportunity to make a difference. The Y is your partner, standing with you to strengthen our community. Please donate today and take your first step in making a difference in building a better us. For more information, please visit http://www.ymcaofkv.org/donate
