Discover a range of tennis lessons and programs at the Charleston Family Y that cater to both adults and children, spanning from novice to seasoned players. Our dedicated tennis professionals and staff are devoted to delivering personalized attention to members and guests, ensuring an enriched experience on the court. From beginners to advanced players, our skilled instructors are committed to challenging and motivating individuals at every skill level, fostering continuous improvement in their game.

Tennis Court Rentals

  • All fees must be paid at the time of service.

  • Only members may reserve courts and must participate during a court rental.

  • Tennis instruction is only permitted by YMCA staff.

Tennis Programs

JUNIOR TENNIS

Tailored for youth ages 5 to 18 aspiring to excel in tournaments and enhance their skills in advanced stroke techniques, consistency, and precision. The program consists of 6-week sessions and welcomes both members and nonmembers.

TENNIS FOR FUN

Tennis for Fun is especially designed for our athletes with special needs. All ages and ability levels welcome! Tennis for Fun is held every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 at the Charleston Family YMCA.

BOOT CAMP

Join our ACE certified person trainer & group fitness instructor Linda Richmond, RN, for an early morning workout that is sure to kick start your fitness goals. Boot camp is full of intensity, action, and a lot of hard work! This workout is built for ALL fitness levels and abilities.

2 3-DAY SESSIONS PER MONTH | 5:15 AM-6:15 AM

WEEKEND WARRIOR

Instructor, Kevan Williams serves in the WV Army National Guard and is ready to see who will join the ranks as a fellow weekend warrior.

RADIANT RESILIENCE COLLECTIVE

We’re proud to introduce the Radiant Resilience Collective, a program designed to empower women who are currently battling cancer or have triumphed as survivors. This supportive, group-based initiative focuses on rebuilding physical strength while nurturing mental and emotional resilience in a warm and uplifting environment.

Strength Renewed

A core component of the Radiant Resilience Collective, offers a structured yet flexible approach to fitness and well-being. Led by experienced instructors, this class includes low-impact, strength-building exercises for all fitness levels. Whether actively engaging in movement or simply being present for support, every participant is encouraged to join at her own pace. This class provides a welcoming space where women can focus on self-empowerment, confidence-building, and steady physical progress. Participants will experience a warm, uplifting group atmosphere where they can find camaraderie, understanding, and inspiration. Together, we will lift weights, spirits, and each other—because strength is not just about muscles; it’s about living boldly and confidently every single day.
